After a long full life, Bill passed away peacefully on February 6, 2017. Born in 1922 to Swiss immigrants, Bill lived his life in Murray, Utah. He married Ruth, the love of his life, in 1944. Bill served in the Pacific Theater in WWII, operated a small mine, and spent many years as a member of the Operating Engineers, pioneering roads such as the Mirror Lake Highway, Deer Valley Drive, and worked on the dam at Smith-Morehouse.

Bill was an avid skier until the age of 90, enjoying many days at Solitude with his many friends. Bill would be seen daily biking the Jordan River Parkway, meeting and greeting friends along the trail. Bill also grew an incredible large garden freely sharing with family and friends.
