Arden James Bodell was born April 11, 1930, the second son of Milton and Elizabeth Miller Bodell in Herriman, Ut. He spent his younger years in Herriman and remained in South Salt Lake County for most of his life. He was a graduate of Jordan High School. Arden spent his professional life as a national Sales Representative for firms such as Raybestos-Manhattan, and then as a real estate agent and developer. He loved golf and was a member of Alpine Country Club for much of his adult life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Elwood who passed away as a boy, and by his sister Dixie; He is survived by his sister Georgia (Ted) Peterson. Arden and Betty Cowley had four children, Susan Elizabeth (David) Tanner, Sherry Lee (Barry) Newbold, Rick Arden (Linda) Bodell, and Christine Betty (Mark) Huffaker. He has 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 at 3pm in the Herriman City Cemetery, 12465 S. Pioneer St. (6000 West) Herriman, Ut . Arrangements by Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah.
