Dorene Wagstaff Beagles

1937 ~ 2015

Dorene Wagstaff Beagles passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from a mercifully quick blood clot to the brain.

To say we grieve the loss of our loving wife, sister and aunt is an understatement. Her example of unconditional love, devotion to the gospel and to her parents when they were alive, and her incredible husband of thirty - five years, and a vast circle of friends; her humbleness, honesty and grace will be remembered by all those that love her.

Dorene was born September 30, 1937 in Brigham City, Utah to Glen M. and Vergia Peterson Wagstaff, their only daughter and also their youngest child after having four sons.

Dorene graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City. She graduated from Henager Business College in Ogden, Utah, receiving a degree as a stenographer.

After graduating from business college, she was hired as a stenographer in the Accounting Department at Hill Air Force Base where she worked for four-and-a-half years prior to her mission in the West German mission. After her mission, in April 1963, she was hired to work in the Council of the Twelve Office of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had many choice and wonderful experiences working as the personal secretary for Elder Mark E. Peterson, Elder Ezra Taft Benson, President Howard W. Hunter and a short period of time to President Gordon B. Hinkley, before she retired in 2002.

Dorene felt the capstone of her life was on August 15, 1980, when she was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to her husband, Charles Beagles. She stated, \"Charles added a new dimension of joy and happiness to my life for which I will be eternally grateful.\"

Dorene and Charles served missions in the Frankfurt Germany Temple, the Nauvoo Illinois Temple and spent many years serving in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were in the presidency of two temples.

Dorene is survived by her husband, Charles James Beagles, and three of her four brothers, Ray

M. Wagstaff (Elsie), Perry, Utah; J. Kent Wagstaff (Donna), Santa Ana, California; Wayne M. Wagstaff (Clarissa) Bountiful, Utah. Hugh H. Wagstaff and (Ann) preceded her in death.

Dorene has 19 nieces and nephews, all of which revered her and have tried to follow her loving example.
