Zachary Joe Stilson

1985 ~ 2016

Born May 6, 1985 in Sandy, Utah, our precious, beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend passed away tragically, unexpectedly September 14, 2016. He was a young 31 years old.

Zach was loving, caring, nurturing and a whiz at everything he tried, including baseball, soccer, basketball, and football. He loved music and was an amazing dancer, singer and rapper. He loved deep philosophical discussions and family meant everything to him. He was devoted to his sweet wife Nadia and his two beautiful boys Daxon and Kazdin and was so deeply loved by all. Zach graduated from Alta High School in Sandy and went on to become a finance manager at several auto dealerships including Larry H. Miller, Lapoint Ford and Tim Dahle Nissan in Sandy. He was brilliant and would have had an incredible future.

Zach is survived by his wife Nadia, sons Daxon and Kazdin, father Eric Stilson, mother Ingre Stilson, step mother Tracy Stilson, brother Joshua (Cari) Stilson, sisters Nesha Stilson (Craig) Woodward, Amber Stilson (Jeremy) Glenn, Nicole Stilson, Aleigh Stilson, step brothers Chris Yeo, and Eric Yeo, step sister Sarah Yeo, Nephews Austin Naud, Seth Stilson, Jackson Stilson, Eli Stilson, Eddie Palou and Cylis Palou, nieces Aubriella Naud, Emmaline Naud, Sydney Stilson, Carli Stilson, Kenzie Yeo, Nayeli Steidl and Olivia Yeo, sisters in law, Cari Stilson, DaraRae Gowens, Jazmine Holloway, brothers in law David (Taylor) Gowens and Jeremy Glenn. Mother in law, Lorraine Gowens, father in law Daryl Gowens.

Zach loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. He was an outstanding marksman with both bow and rifle and an accomplished hunter. He loved Nadia and his little boys with all his heart, but his big heart left lots of room for all his siblings, nephews and nieces and they all adored him too! Zach was funny!!! Really a character, always with a joke, the turn of a phrase, a subtle tease, followed by a huge ear to ear grin. He loved movies with a passion and could name movies and characters for hundreds of films. If he had free moment, he was watching a movie and loving it.

His smile lit up every room and he hugged everyone like it would be the last time he was going to see them; so tight and so long and meaningfully. That's just who he was, so full of love and kindness to others. He was very protective over his siblings, nieces and nephews and loved them so much. Zach was so polite and genuine and always a gentleman. He never walked in front of a lady, always opened doors and was gracious and giving in every part of this life. He had countless friends, so many that we could never keep track of them all and growing up, the house was filled with them most every day. Zach loved, loved, loved cars! He loved them all, and the faster the better. He was well known at Alta High for his souped up Ford 150 turbo leaving his parents with many sleepless nights. He would do anything for his friends, family or a total stranger. Gracious to the end always offering to do something for others. He will be missed beyond any possible description.
