Sandra Rae Greene Sine (Sandy), 87, peacefully passed away of natural causes in her Salt Lake City home on November 12, 2021. She fought valiantly and courageously against a variety of ailments. Although bittersweet, we rejoice in the reunion for her and her loved ones who have preceded her in death.

Sandra was born in Salt Lake City on November 1, 1934, to Forrest and Norma Greene, the youngest of three children. Sandra attended South High School and then LDS Business College in Nursing. She paid her way through school by modeling for Auerbachs, Arents, and Makoff’s while working at Holy Cross Hospital. She was a devout member of the LDS Church and loved volunteering in all capacities whether it was cleaning, visiting teaching, being a scout leader or working many long hours at the Cannery. Sandra retired in 2011 after working in the real estate industry for many years. Her lifelong motto was “I will go and do,” as she was the epitome of hard work and dedication to each undertaking; a value she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Sandra was smart, wise, kind, considerate, uplifting and most of all, she quietly provided a strong foundation for others to find their successes. Oh, how we will miss her and never stop loving her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her siblings (Barbara and Norman), her grandson (Michael) and exactly two weeks prior to her passing, she lost her eldest son (Glorn) to a fearless battle with cancer. During their final goodbye, Glorn stated “I’ll see you on the other side, mom“, To which she replied, “Until we meet again”. Sandra is survived by her husband of 59 years, Barry Sine, and their four other children, Michelle (Lyman), Scott, Steven, and RaeAnn (Cory). Sandra loved being a grandma and dearly loved her 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She will be profoundly missed and will forever be in our hearts.

The family would like to give a special thank you Laura, her faithful aid who loved and served her for the past three years. Sandra’s viewing will be held on Thursday, November 18th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am to 11:45 am prior to funeral services at 12 pm, which will be held on Friday, November 19th from at the Hilltop Ward, 589 E 18th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. Sandra will be laid to rest at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Floral arrangements can be received in the care of Larkin Mortuary.

Barry and family, I am so sorry for your loss. No one was kinder or more gracious than Sandy, and we could ask for no better neighbors than you and Sandy, Barry. I hope you all find comfort and solace in the love and support of your family and friends, and from knowing how many people loved Sandy and share your loss.
