Our sweet, beautiful wife, mom, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away March 22, 2023 at the University of Utah. Sara was born July 8th, 1960, to Jack and Mary Rudd in Salt Lake. She came from a family of nine siblings, she was the fifth born and she broke the cycle of boy, girl.

Sara loved her siblings very much. She grew up around rodeos and horses were her passion. She married Scott Lorin Johnson October 28th, 1978 they had two children together. Sara loved her kids and was there, for every accomplishment. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She and Scott later divorced.

She then later married Kenneth Lee Morrill known as “Cowboy” on November 15th, 1997, she cared for Kenny for many years, he passed September 26, 2005. Sara was a caretaker. She loved her job as a CNA. She did that for many years, she took care of her grandparents, parents and Kenny and she always put everyone first and never skipped a beat doing it.

She met her soulmate Gil Barrow in October 2006. Her and Gil loved each other deeply, they always supported their grandchildren and children. They raised their granddaughter Payton Johnson together. As many would say, grandma's love was unconditional.

Sara is survived by her husband Gil Barrow, his parents Josiah (Beverly) Barrow and Linda (Joe) Wallance her children Tara (Josh) Bown , Casey (Kobi) Johnson Chris (Kim) Losee Judy (Joey) Mooseman, Ace (Mandi) Morrill, Heather (Brandon) Miller, Cassie (Ronnie) Boyd, Shane Lancaster, Crystal (Mike) Rawins, Jennifer Elanine Barrow Wilford, Gordon Troy Barrow her grandchildren Carley, Camron, Kannion, Emika, Arrow Sterling, and Payton Johnson, Dillon (Makayla), Jake ,Kaden, Savannah , and many more grandchildren. Her siblings Karen (Ralph) Allen, Jerry Rudd, Ruth Neal, Brent (Susan) Rudd, Brenda Perry, Mark Rudd, and Amy Rudd.

Preceded in death by parents Jack and Mary Rudd, Great grandparents, brother Jeffery Leon Rudd, many aunts and uncles and late husband Kenneth Lee Morrill, Amy Rudd (sister in law) and Eli Bell (great nephew). At this time the family would like to express and thank the University of Utah hospital for everything possible they did for Sara.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South). Sandy, Utah. Viewings will be held on Friday evening from the hours of 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday morning from 10:00 – 10:45 am also at Larkin Sunset Gardens.

We talked about everything, and we’ve been through so much together. A friend like you only come around once in a life time.
