Donna Clark Ulrich

1927 ~ 2016

Donna Clark Ulrich, age 88, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home with her family Saturday, June 4th, 2016 of natural causes. Born October 23, 1927, in Morgan, Utah, the Daughter of Lawrence Walter and Bernetta Ellis Clark. She graduated from Morgan High School, where she played the clarinet in the marching band with Walt and also played in the band at BYU. She married her high school sweetheart, and eternal companion, Walter Ulrich, in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 18, 1946. Together they were the proud parents of three sons and three daughters. Donna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served the Lord in many callings including Ward Primary President, Ward and Stake Relief Society President.

Walt and Donna realized a lifelong dream and fulfilled a mission to New Zealand. Later they were called as missionaries to the LDS Business College. Their third mission was a humanitarian mission to Madras, India. She loved working in the Temple with her husband, Walt. They served in the baptistry for many years and also as Counselor and Matron in the Jordan River Temple Presidency. Donna then served for many years in the Salt Lake Temple.

The greatest joy in her life was her children and grandchildren. She was blessed with six children, 28 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren and 2 on the way. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, and brother Rich Clark. She is survived by her children Craig (Jeanne) Ulrich, David (Julie) Ulrich, Janice (Roy) Harris, Julie (Perry) Frandsen, Cindy (Brett) Hales and Jeff (Jill) Ulrich, brother Wayne (Annette) Clark and sister in law Josephine Clark.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood Heights Third Ward, 6890 S. 2228 E. in Salt Lake City Utah. Viewings will be held at the church on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Missionary Fund.
