Laura passed away peacefully in her home on October 18, 2013. Born February 3, 1930 to Joseph T. White and Gladys V. Anderson White. She married the love of her life, Dick L. Wilcox on September 16, 1949. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on January 13, 1962. They had 8 children, Dick William, Anna Laura and Robert Terry who past away at birth, Lauralee (David) Chase, Richard Wilcox, Claudia Wilcox, JoAnn (John) Allen, Kathleen Wilcox.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is what gave her strength to endure the many hardships she had to endure throughout her life. Her joy was in her 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She leaves behind one sister Julie Johnson and is preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister. Her eternal sweetheart preceded her in death November 5, 1964.
She will be missed for her wonderful bread making skills and sewing nightgowns every Christmas for her daughters. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply as well as all of her nieces and nephews. Her testimony of Jesus Christ will live in our hearts forever. We love you mom!
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Compton Bench Chapel, located at 850 North Compton Rd (300 West) Farmington, UT. Services will be held at 11:00 am, with a viewing 1 hour prior to the services. A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary 260 East South Temple Salt Lake City, UT on Monday October 21, 2013 from 6-8pm. Interment to follow the services in the Farmington City Cemetery.
