Shane Roy Evans

1964 ~ 2022

Our beloved Son and Brother passed away, at the age of 58, on Monday, December 19, 2022 after a heartbreaking battle with lung disease.
Shane Roy Evans was born on January 27, 1964 in Provo, Utah. He was the oldest of five children of Ronnie and Sheila Evans. Shane’s childhood was spent in both Orem and Sandy, Utah, but soon after he began moving around the country chasing opportunity and adventure. He loved to see and experience new places and cultures.

Shane had an infectious laugh and remained positive in any situation. He wore a perpetual smile and had a unique way of laughing off his problems and pushing through adversity. He was an independent man and never burdened others with his problems.

Shane genuinely loved people. He spent his entire career in the customer service industry so that he could always have someone to talk to, laugh with, and share stories. The greatest accomplishment of his career came with the position of Utah District Manager of a very large restaurant chain. Shane was able to build success whenever he put his mind to a task.

Shane was truly someone that would share their last dime with someone in need. He was always helping out family, friends, and strangers even if he was struggling himself. Shane was one of the kindest souls we know and has earned his place among angels.

Shane is survived by his parents Ronnie and Sheila Evans, his brothers Shawn, Deon (Kimmy), Lance, and Brandon (Dorothy). As well as many nephews and nieces whom he loved with all his heart.

Our family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the University of Utah Intensive Care Unit for taking amazing care of Shane during his final time on Earth.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah with Graveside Services to follow immediately at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow.
