Sharon Ann Schwartz Thompson passed away on August 2, 2021.
She was born June 28, 1942, to Benjamin and Mary Schwartz in Logan, UT.
She married Tony Thompson and they were the parents of two sons Darren and Jeffrey Thompson.
Sharon worked for the Deseret News for 25 years. During her employment she worked in the marketing department, was the director of personnel, and administrative assistant to the publisher of the newspaper.
Sharon also did volunteer work every Sunday morning for the LDS Hospital as a receptionist for over 25 years.
Sharon was diagnosed with Multi Sclerosis at age 60 and retired due to her health.
Over the past 26 years, Charlie DeSantis became part of our family and was Sharon’s best friend. He did many great things for Sharon.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest son Darren.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey (Jaime) Thompson and (Tony and Charlie), 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM at Larkin Mortuary 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah with a graveside service to follow at 2 PM at Salt Lake City Cemetery 4th Avenue and N Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.
