Shauna Kay Long Korologos, 55, died at home surrounded by family on Dec. 13, 2021 after bravely battling a series of health challenges the past few years. She was born Oct. 20, 1966 in American Fork, Utah, the daughter of the late Gary Kay Long and Geraldine Bezzant Lawrence of St. George, UT. She married Chris Mike Korologos May 15, 1999 in Salt Lake City.

Shauna was a highly-trained, highly regarded massage therapist, operating her own studios in Utah, Arizona and California where she helped hundreds of patients deal with their physical ailments. Her love of her pet cats brought her great comfort, especially during her later years.

Throughout her life Shauna was known for her wit, sense of humor and her kind, loving and adventurous spirit and for throwing care to the winds while driving her sporty Chrysler LeBaron convertible. That spirit was enlivened while living in Page, AZ, where her greatest enjoyment came while playing on the waters and exploring remote canyons of Lake Powell with Chris in their powerful speed boat, aptly named “Chill Pill”.

Shauna was preceded in death by her father, Gary K. Long; grandmother and grandfather ReNee Long and Melvin Long; her mother-in-law Myrlene McCallister Korologos (Mike); aunt Brenda Long; uncles Valene and Rick Long; grandfather and grandmother Richard Bezzant and Ann Williamson.

She is survived by husband Chris Mike Korologos; her mother and stepfather Geraldine and Reinhard Lawrence; brother Curtis (Kellirae) Long; sister Jan Jess; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She also is survived by a brother-in-law, Tony M. (Alisanne) Korologos and father-in-law Mike C. Korologos, both of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to services starting at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery following the services.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741; bestfriends.org.
