Shauna Marie Williams (Scanlon), 87, of Hurricane, Utah, passed away on July 15, 2026, in Murray, Utah.
Shauna was born on April 29, 1939, in Los Angeles, California, to Maurice and Ruth Scanlon. She was raised in Arcadia and loved sailing, dancing, and playing sports. Throughout her life, she owned a Hawaiian travel business and worked in the dental field, as a property manager, and as an administrative assistant.
She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, playing the piano, and serving as a self-taught ward organist from the age of 14. Later in life, she moved to Southern Utah, where she loved spending time in nature.
She looked forward to her reunion with her sweetheart, Dick Williams. Although they met later in life, they enjoyed many adventures together in their Hurricane, Utah, home, including hiking, hunting, fishing, and traveling.
She will be remembered for her kindness and for teaching us that trials and errors can be overcome through the Atonement, by living close to Heavenly Father, and by keeping His commandments. She taught us that this is where true happiness is found.
She is survived by her brother, Tim Scanlon; her sons, Jon (Sue) Shuppy, Christopher (Laura) Shuppy, and Brian (Julia) Shuppy; her daughter, Julie (Brad) Steinfeldt; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Her stepchildren, Shane Williams, Lance Williams, Darren (Christina) Williams, and Cicilia (Chris) Anderson;
