Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Sheila Kristine Glover Wilkinson of West Jordan, Utah passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25th, 2023, at 79 years of age.

She was determined to work as long as she possibly could and never missed a beat between working at State Farm Insurance in Sandy, Utah for Steven Fisher for 18 years with her daughter Alicia Anderson; serving at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple for a number of years with her beloved friends; and fulfilling her callings with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was always looking for those whom she could serve, from members of the ward to those in her neighborhood.

Her greatest accomplishment and proudest achievements were being a mom, grandmother, and great grandmother to her 6 children, 16 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Her family was EVERYTHING to her and she filled every spare moment spending time with them, running to activities and events, checking in on them, and making sure they knew they were loved.

She was born to Ivan and Vivian Glover on October 2nd, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up as the third youngest in a family of twelve living in a little basement home off of State Street in Midvale that she often reminisced about. She loved that she could play outside with her friends and family. The only rule was that they had to be home by dark.

She attended Jordan High School. After high school she moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she worked as a nurse and had her first of six children. Then moved back to Salt Lake City where she continued working and raising a family.

She started with State Farm in a Sugarhouse office, where she began a long-standing career spanning nearly 45 years in the insurance industry. She took great pride in taking care of all her clients. She loved assisting and helping others, spending time visiting and catching up with them, breaking down the details of a policy with them or jumping in and helping with a variety of events and claims.

She assisted several other agents following her time at Sugarhouse by helping setup offices and establish clients throughout the Salt Lake valley. Reconnecting with State Farm and Steven Fisher where she ended her longstanding career.

Being a mom and grandma during these years brought our Mom the greatest joy. She loved family gatherings and made every Holiday special from going all out with her decorations, gift bags for every family to take home, and more food and goodies than you could possibly choose from. These gatherings were her love language to her family. She lived for these activities and looked forward to them with the greatest of excitement. Her love of Holidays and family were contagious as she gathered everyone around her.

Her dinner club with her siblings, cousins and extended family were extremely important to her and she treasured the time spent connecting with them, sharing childhood memories and experiences, hearing about their families, and loved ones, laughing and crying around the kitchen table with them.

Recently, Mom had a chance to go on a trip of a lifetime to Graceland on a girls’ trip where she kept them out late into the night enjoying all that she could possibly soak in, visiting every Elvis site and museum, and going on a special tour of Graceland itself.

She is proceeded in death by her mother and father; her brothers Gene, Jim, Ted, Joe, Dennis, and Mark; along with her sisters Beth and Ruby; and her grandchild Saylah. Survived by her brothers Alan (Margaret), Mike (Dixie); her children Sherri (Jerry), Cassandra, Paula (Jeff), Daniel (Michelle), Gary (Jessica), and Alicia (Nathan); her grandchildren Tyler, Carli (Brandon), Heather, Laura, Jordan, Eva, Ethan, Lincoln, Eliza, Kurtis (Jaron), Makenzie, Justin (Ty), Presley, Lillia, and Myla; her great grandchildren Jaiden, Nixxon, Knoxx, and Indy.

“IT SUMS UP HOW I LIVED MY LIFE, I DID IT MY WAY”

We love you, Mom!!!

What an amazing beautiful woman she will always be .. I m going to miss my monthly call in payments and the reason for call in was to simply hear her beautiful voice with a cheerful conversation. I don't know who says that ever when paying a bill..She made you feel like family and now she has perfected her job here .Heaven has gained a super angel.. I m blessed to have known such a beautiful woman

I learned of Kris’s passing today and spent some time crying and reflecting. She was more than just an insurance agent…she was a dear friend. I was with her the whole time at State Farm as probably her most difficult client…but she always got me what I needed and showed me tough love when I needed it. She probably never knew it but she was even a therapist when going through my divorce. Truly a class act. My heart breaks for her family and especially Alicia as I used to love watching their close relationship while they worked together. The world lost a great one, but Heaven gained a very sweet angel.
