Sheri B. Green

1950 ~ 2023

Sheri Green, a loving mother, and a courageous individual, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 73, after a long and valiant battle with mental illness. She departed this world surrounded by her family who loved and supported her unconditionally throughout her journey.
Born on January 17, 1950, Sheri B. Green was a bright and vibrant soul who faced life's challenges with unwavering determination. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, and her memory will forever be a source of inspiration.
As a mother, Sheri demonstrated boundless love and resilience in the face of adversity. She fiercely protected and cared for her children, Aaron and Tracy, and her enduring love was a testament to her strength. Despite her own struggles, she provided a safe and nurturing environment for her family, teaching them the importance of empathy and understanding.
Sheri’s journey with mental illness was marked by both triumphs and tribulations. She showed incredible bravery in her battle, seeking help, and connecting with others who shared similar challenges. Her courage in facing her illness and her determination to live a fulfilling life were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Despite the darkness that sometimes clouded her world, Sheri had a bright and creative spirit. She was known for her crafts including painting, crocheting, cross stitching, and her championship title at Yahtzee, which brought her moments of joy and provided an outlet for her emotions and connecting with her family.
Sheri B. Green is survived by her children Aaron (Jenny) Green, and Tracy (Bill) Adams. Grandchildren: Schuyler Green, Daxton Adams, Alexia Adams, and Maxwell Green. Siblings: Larry (Linda) Latimer, Alan (Sharron) Latimer, Penny Thomas, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sheri was preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Bernice Latimer and brother-in-law Kevin Thomas.
A service to celebrate the life of Sheri B. Green will be held on Wednesday, September 20th at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road, in Sandy. The Viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside dedication to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Children’s Center Utah https://childrenscenterutah.org/donate, in Sheri's memory to help support the mental health of children.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and condolences received during this challenging time. Sheri’s memory will forever live on, a reminder of the importance of compassion, understanding, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness.
May Sheri B. Green rest in eternal peace, free from the pain that burdened her in life. You will be remembered for your strength, resilience, and the love you shared with all who knew you.
