Dear Cousin Shirley,

You have always been a light in my life, a beacon on the path. You loved me when it was easy, and still when it was difficult. You never seemed to question my choices, the roads I took, the dreams I followed. You loved me, with a pure heart. I rest in the knowledge of that love, and in the certainty that you are right where you always promised that you would be.

Dear Ralph and family, I am so sad to read of Shirleys passing. I have some wonderful memories of working with her at the answering service and the Hershey Center. I also have fun memories of your family. Shirleys million dollar smile and sweet voice are unforgetable. Her testimony and strong belief in the Gosple and the purpose of the Temple will always stay with me. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

My Aunt Shirley, lovingly called Aunt “Shirby” was my second mother, confidant, friend.
I remember being 7 when she brought my Uncle Ralph to Virginia, to meet us. I was skeptical, but came to be a big fan of the love of her life too. I spent part of most summers with them while I was growing up…..my favorite place to be, spending time with Dawn, who has been like a baby sister, and three more brothers. I loved being so close to them and being part of such a wonderful family. It didn’t matter what the problem, I knew I could talk to her and not be judged, but be counseled, listened too, loved and understood. As an adult I have come to wait with excitement to see Uncle Ralph and Aunt Shirley, every other year, since they have been traveling. I adored my Aunt Shirley, and will hold dear so many precious memories, but still miss her everyday, miss her sweet voice on the other end of the phone, in a voice mail, miss her warmth and love. I know it is time to share her with those we have loved who have gone on before us. I know she is loving her time with her own babies, Kenny and Braden. We will miss her on this side too. With all my love and all my heart. Kath💕 I know there are a million more things to say…. I guess we will have to continue having chats, I know you will be there to listen.
