It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Ilean Jones Daley, who left this world on June 28, 2025 at the age of 89 in Provo, Utah.
Shirley was born in Huntington Utah on June 8, 1936 to parents James Albert Jones and Myrtle Ilean Rowley Jones. She was raised in Sunnyside, Utah and graduated from Carbon High School. After graduating Shirley worked for Mt Bell Phone Company and moved into the Beehive House, where she met her husband Glen LaVell Daley. They were married on August 22, 1959 and later sealed for all eternity in the Manti, Utah temple.
Shirley and Glen had 3 children who they loved dearly. They raised their family in Sandy, Utah. Along with being a wife and mother Shirley worked for Draper Bank for 27 years, a job she took pride in and truly loved. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family, accompanying her grandkids on many trips to Disneyland. Shirley was known for her willingness to open her heart and home to others, loving them as if they were her own.
Shirley was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was active in temple work at the Jordan River Temple and the Provo Temple. Those who knew her know that she is rejoicing in being reunited with her husband Glen.
