Claudine Morgan Anderson

1931 ~ 2016

Claudine Morgan Anderson, Our beautiful, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother was called home to our Heavenly Father and to be reunited, in a long awaited reunion with her husband, children, sisters and parents, on February 26, 2016.

She was born on April 26, 1931, in the small town of Spring City, Utah to Vurl William Morgan and Merline Justesen in the home of her grandparents. She grew up the oldest of 3 girls in Fountain Green, UT. She married the love of her life Duane Raymond Anderson on June 2, 1950 in the Manti Temple. They resided in Wales, UT eventually moving to their home which Duane built in Sandy where they raised their 5 children.

Claudine and Duane were saddened in 1971 when they lost their daughter Tamara at the young age of 15. They were saddened again just three years later when they lost their son Morgan at the age of 21. Claudine found strength through her beliefs. She was a devoted member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day-saints, in which she served in various callings. Her employers included O.C. Tanner, Deseret Pharmaceutical, and also Jordan School District from which she retired after 22 years. Mom loved to be around people. She cherished every moment with her family and always wanted to be wherever they were. She had a great sense of humor and she lived a honest and virtuous life.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beehive Homes in West Jordan, Cornerstone and also Atria Sandy.

She is survived by her sons; Gerald (Lynne), Russell (Glenda), and daughter; Kaylei Jones (Mike), 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Duane Raymond Anderson, son Morgan, daughter Tamara, her parents and sisters Vanese Stock and Linda Larsen.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A viewing will be held on Wednesday at 6-8:00 at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
