Steve Albert Huetter Sr. passed away July 10, 2023, at the age of 62, just one day shy of his 63rd birthday. He went peacefully surrounded by family and friends at St. Mark's Hospital.

Steve was born in Murray, Utah in 1960 to Alfred Huetter and Lisa Kleineburg Huetter. He attended Jordan High School and remained in the area for much of his life. He started working for CraCar construction at the age of 19 as a heavy equipment operator. He would stay with the company for the remainder of his career, ending as a foreman. Those around him knew him as a hard worker that would do what it took to get the job done and he was proud of what he did.

Steve took care of those he loved. Whenever anyone was in need, he would be the first to step in and step up to help them with whatever was needed. Steve loved his kids more than anything and was proud of all three of them. He often bragged about them to anyone who would listen. He was an outdoorsman who loved to be out hunting, camping, or fishing. He loved golfing with his sons and nephews. He would take them all over the state to play courses.

Steve is survived by his mother Lisa Huetter, his children Ashley Palmer, Dallen Huetter, Steve Huetter Jr, his grandsons Mason and Tanner Palmer, and the rest of the Huetter family.

Services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092 on Saturday July 15, 2023. The viewing will start at 9:30 a.m. followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at the grave. A luncheon will be held following the service at the LDS church located at 9880 S 3100 E, Sandy, UT.

Dear Steve, I’m so sorry for the loss of your Dad!
Your Grams and I have been friends for many years and you are the same age as my son Ike. You came to their wedding. I know how hard it will be for you this next year without your dad-I’ve seen my son grieve after his Dad passed.
Please just know he is with you always ♥️
I send all my love. Your Grams is so proud of you and your Dad is too!

My heart is just sick! I just heard today 09/29/2023 that Allen passed away and that Steve passed away in July.
I grew up with the Huetter family, just across the street from them on Dimple Dell Road, and love them dearly!
I am heartbroken that I did not know of Steve’s struggles. He is and will always be a very dear friend of mine.
Susie and Lisa, I have told Tina as well and she is just devastated!
We love you so very much!
We want to come see you soon!

I am so sorry for the loss of Steve, He was a great man and taught me a lot within the construction industry which brought me to where I am today. I drove his white Kenworth while working for Cracar for roughly 4 years before moving on to Staker Parson. Steve had called me a few times after I moved over to Staker to see how things were going and to just chat for a little bit. I have always had a ton of respect for Steve and always will. R.I.P. my friend. Prayers and Condolences to all the friends and family involved.
