Grandma, I love you so much. Thank you for always believing in me. I am going to miss gossiping together and shopping together. You were a remarkable woman. I will always be thankful to have had you in my life.

Obituary
Suzanne Wade Jensen, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026 of causes incident to age. Sue was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, an example of selfless love in action.
Born May 6, 1947, in Ogden, Utah to Jesse Dean Wade and Helen Turner, second of three children, her older sister Diane and younger brother Fred. She was raised by a loving and large extended family that spread from Salt Lake City to Morgan and Ogden. She spent weekends and holidays with her extended family and friends. She spoke often of her grandmother, cousins, aunts, and uncles. In her young years at Emerson School, she met Craig as a new kid in the neighborhood. They became sweethearts in those young years and eventually, she married and was sealed to Craig L. Jensen in the Salt Lake Temple. Throughout their lives together, Sue and Craig worked to build their family of six wonderful children and a smattering of dogs, cats, and other animals. Their early years focused on University schooling with Sue providing the motherly drive and foundation for the family. They raised their family in college, living in basement apartments, Stadium Village at the U, and two different housing units in University Village. Later, Sue and Craig bought and moved into a house in the neighborhood where their kids attended school on the east bench, all of which culminated in 20 years in SLC. Sue found a real estate opportunity to build a new home and they moved with four of their children to Jeremy Ranch, Park City, in the mid-1990s. They returned to Holladay in 2006, where they now reside.
Sue was cherished as a beloved companion and wife. She was full of fun and energy and lived a long and full life, making everyone’s life with whom she came in contact more fun and full of energy too. She added this love while the kids were young and continued having great fun in their grown years with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As needed she was resourceful, working in stores of several varieties, managing paper routes with the kids and the dog in their early years, and a rural Postal carrier in Park City. Sue and Craig were always doing family activities and trips making the most of family times together. She loved to cook for, play with, and be with the kids, even to exhaustion. Christmas and most other holidays like St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, and Thanksgiving were special and lovingly decorated to make traditions for the kids with a special spirit of the season. For years, she was known as “Martha” by those who loved to tease her for her fun decorating and cooking. She was a wonderful and creative cook. She was also a gifted teacher of children, hers and others she worked with teaching in preschools. She served her community and Church in many roles like room mother, PTA advisor, and sponsor for school programs. She chauffeured kids to activities, schools, parties, and ball games, providing treats, snacks, and loving notes. Her Church involvement spanned wards and stakes from Cub Scouts to Girl Scouts, president, counselor, and teacher of Primary and Young Women organizations. She made a lifelong contribution to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having started teaching there at the age of twelve. More could be written, but if you didn’t know her, you might not believe it, and if you did know her, you already understand. Her life and love were simply beautiful and were an inspiration always and forever to her family.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Craig; children: Robyn (Rob) Larkin; M. Tyler; Douglas (Courtnie Richards); (Allison Palmer); and Allyson Davis; 22 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Diane Dangerfield. Preceded in death by sons, Scot and Ryan; father, step-fathers, mother, brother Fred Wade, and great-granddaughter, Hope Larkin.
The family thanks the doctors and nurses at St. Mark’s Hospital, Highland Care Center, and Intermountain Medical Center for their tender care… and the Larkin Mortuary management and staff for their caring services.
Family and friends are invited to a Social Gathering on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah. Directly following the gathering a Celebration of Life will be held in Sue’s honor at the mortuary. Entombment will follow in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mausoleum of The Last Supper.
For those who wish to attend the Celebration of Life virtually you may do so by clicking the “Watch Services” option at the top of Sue’s obituary.
In lieu of flowers the family invites you to make a donation to the Humane Society of Utah in Sue’s name.

I genuinely have no idea how I could ever repay you for everything you have done for me and for our family. You mean so much to so many people, and the world has lost a shining star. I love you so deeply, and thank you for raising me to be the person I am today.
You are the best Grandma to ever be 💜
Grandma Sue, You are so loved. Your light shone so brightly, that the world feels more dim without you here. You were so kind, loving, and selfless. I will miss your wit, your funny stories, your home cooked meals, your laugh, and your hugs. Family gatherings just won't be the same without you now. I always looked forward to seeing you at the gatherings!! Also when you would try and give your clothes to us in the back room! I actually loved that you shared your clothes with us.
I look back on the days of visiting when we were little... your joke about us acting good or we'll have to go on the Greyhound bus still makes me laugh. Thank you for providing the many happy memories and laughs that bring a smile to my face and heart. We didn't have enough time with you. Please watch over us and please visit as often as you can. I love you so much. I am honored and so lucky to be named after such an amazing woman! You will be sorely missed. <3
Robyn, Doug, and family, I am so sincerely sorry to see that your beautiful mother has passed on. My heart hurts for you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad and difficult time.
Oh my dear Sue how much you will be missed and remembered. You are my people and saving seats for you at sacrament was the best for me as I felt you and Diane and Craig as family. Surely loved you.

You welcomed and accepted me so quickly into the family when I moved here and I could not be more grateful for how kindly you've treated me. Thank you for letting me have a grandma again for the short amount of time I've known you. You will be so, so missed. ❤️
What a lovely soul. So sorry for the family’s loss but she is home now. All our love to you Craig! Love from tom and Terry
Craig,
I am so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. She was the best visiting teaching partner I have ever had. I truly loved her beauty inside and out. We will be out of town this weekend but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sue was and is a kind, caring lady. she loved life and was so generous with her service to others. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Sue will be greatly missed.
I loved your mom and the sense of humor she had. When she would pick me up on their way to drop Robyn off at high school she’s the one that taught me that “if I’m wearing a hat it’s a bad hair day”. She made me my own lunch from time to time. Very fond memories of when we were in school. Thank you for the good memories 💕
My deepest condolences go out to Craig and family. We all grew up in the same neighborhood. I have fond memories of Sue and Craig.
