Susan Elaine Guest Ranck “Sue”, 85, passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side Monday afternoon August 29th, 2022.
Born January 19, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Frankland Guest and Wilma James Guest.

She married her true love, Richard (Dick) Ranck Jr. on November 3rd,1955, which was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Sue loved her family more than anything in the world. She spent most of her time doing everything she could to make sure they were happy. For over 45 years, she would make Sunday dinner and everyone would gather at her home. This allowed them to form a close bond that she so treasured.

She was an avid Utah Football fan. She attended the games with her children and grandchildren every fall for many years. She enjoyed bowling and frequented the golf course with her husband.

Sue was an accomplished artist and won various awards for her paintings. Her most peaceful and happy place to be was her yard, which was the backdrop for many weddings and events over the years. She spent countless hours caring for it and took much pride in its beauty.

Sue was a widow for 30 years, preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Ranck Jr. and her two baby boys, Ricky and Ryan. She is survived by her four children: Patty Hatfield (Golden), Pam Francis, Robert Ranck (Marilee), and Russell Ranck (Nicole). She was the loving Grandma to 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her generosity, loyalty, and kindness to those she loved.

The family would like to also express appreciation and love to two of Sue’s granddaughters, Erin and Andie for their selfless love, care, and dedication to their grandma in her final days.
