Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and partner, Suzanne Cowan Edmonds, passed away on March 1, 2024 in her home in Sandy, Utah. She was the fifth of six children born to Robert and Carolyn Cowan. She was born on July 19, 1978 in Provo, Utah.

Suzy graduated from Alta High School and attended Salt Lake Community College where she studied accounting. She started working for Subway at the age of 15, which eventually led to her being the manager of several different Subway locations. She outgrew Subway and moved on to being a successful business owner. She started her own accounting practice and thrived at it. After meeting her fiance, Troy, they started a consulting business and furniture business, Empyreal Design, where they handcraft the most beautiful, original pieces for high end hotels and businesses all over the West Coast. She really enjoyed being hands on and building the furniture herself, something she had to learn from the beginning. She was extremely proud of her accomplishments and so was her family. She was always an extremely hard worker and very dedicated to whatever she was doing.

Suzy loved to travel and see the world. One of her favorite vacation spots was Costa Rica. She was able to travel there many times, including a special trip with her parents. Although she was a resident of Utah, she was a real California girl. She would go as often as she could. She loved the beach and the peace she felt when she was there. She also lived in California for a summer as a live-in nanny when she was only 16 years old. She was always very independent, even at a young age. She was so beautiful and had a smile that would light up a room. She had the most infectious personality and everyone was always drawn to her. She will truly be missed by more people than she could even imagine.

Suzy is survived by her mother, Carolyn, her loving fiance, Troy, siblings, Julie (Chad), David (Shasta), Greg, Marianne (Todd), Brian (Elizabeth), twelve nieces and nephews and last but not least, her fur baby, Wickett Ramsey III. He was her pride and joy.

Suzy is preceded in death by her father, Robert Cowan, and will be laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration near him.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 12th from 6:00-8:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 East Dimple Dell Road Sandy, UT 84092. The funeral service will be the following day, Wednesday, March 13th at 2:00pm with a viewing starting at 1:00pm and a graveside service to follow. These will also be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
