Lawrence Dee Goodsell passed away peacefully on 1 October 2017 surrounded by his children in Bountiful, Utah.
He was born 22 June 1942 in Logan Utah to Lawrence Hansen Goodsell and Elizabeth Green Goodsell and was raised as the oldest of four children in Newton Utah. He married Wanda Lee Schofield in the Logan Temple on 15 March 1964.
Larry worked in the Davis County School District his entire career. This included many years as a guidance counselor at Woods Cross High School where he touched the lives of an entire generation of students. He also ran a landscaping business with his children that served many of the widows in the neighborhood.
As a young man Larry served in the Great Lakes Mission and in his later years he was a worker in the Bountiful Temple.
He is survived by four children; Brandy Goodsell, Troy (Cynthia) Goodsell, Leslie (Michael) Wilson, and Lance (Nancy) Goodsell, as well as thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Jerald Goodsell and a sister Diane Pattison. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents and younger brother Terry Goodsell.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 7 October at 11:00 a.m. in the Woods Cross Stake Center located at 2064 South 800 West in Woods Cross. A viewing will be held at the church the evening before from 6:00 to 8:00 and again prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 10:45. Interment will follow in the Newton Cemetery.
