Jeffrey Alan Moore

1962 ~ 2018

Our dear Jeffrey Alan Moore returned home to his Father in Heaven on Thursday, November 29, 2018 and is now free from the pain that plagued his life. He rests in the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ.

Jeff was born April 10, 1962 in Dayton Ohio. He was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a child in Japan. Jeff attended Atwater High School in Atwater California. He spent most of his adult life in Utah.

Jeff was a handsome and talented young man. He loved all sports, but was a gifted baseball player. He had a Big League dream, and the talent to achieve it. He was a switch hitter, a utility man and an amazing short stop. He especially loved to play ball with his brother Lance.

Jeff had a caring and loving heart and he loved his family more than himself. He was a fierce protector of his sisters in their youth. He loved children and was known and loved in his neighborhood for his kindness.

Jeff suffered from many ailments and addictions from a young age. He prayed daily for healing and strength. He knew his Savior and believed that he could get well through the power of the Atonement if he had enough time. He believed in prayer and prayed for safety and protection for those he loved. He adored his granddaughter Chloe. She was his pride and joy.

Jeff had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. He loved being outdoors and especially loved fishing and camping.

Like the rest of the Moore's, he believed in honoring family traditions and being together. He treasured gathering with the family and was always a kind and loving presence. He adored his many nieces and few nephews and loved to watch them grow and celebrate their successes.

Jeff is survived by Tina Bowman, his partner of 25 years who he loved dearly, Dustin Bowman, Danielle Bowman and his granddaughter Chloe Bowman. He is also survived by his mother Lois Moore, and his siblings Tari (Randy) Huffaker, Allison (Scott) Parkinson, Leslie (Todd) Boren, Lance Moore, Jaimi (Tyler) Slade and Lindsay (Bryan) Knight. He is preceded in death by his beloved dog Callie as well as his infant brother George and his father G. Arthur Moore.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S), Sandy, UT at 11:00 am. A viewing will precede the funeral from 9:30-10:30 am.
