Sandra Jean Anderson

1946 ~ 2016

Sandra Jean Anderson, age 70, passed away December 18, 2016 in Sandy, Utah after enduring Alzheimer\s Disease for many years.She was being lovingly cared for at Sunrise of Sandy when she passed.

Sandy was born November 8, 1946 in Monroe, Wisconsin to Gift and Bertha Munz Morton. She married her eternal companion, Robert Weston Anderson, on September 5, 1969 in Concord, CA.Their marriage was sealed for time and all eternity the very next day, September 6, 1969 in the Oakland, California Temple.

Sandy spent most of her younger years growing up in California.She attended Foothill Junior College after high school and then transferred to Brigham Young University.She graduated from BYU with a Bachelor\s Degree in Child Development.

Sandy loved being a mother.It was a job that she cherished dearly and did very well. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was a member of the LDS church.Sandy enjoyed volunteering as a pink lady at Alta View Hospital.In her free time, she liked to tend to her beautiful roses, collect porcelain dolls, and decorate her home.Sandy was a very giving and thoughtful person. Rarely did you leave her home without one of her prized possessions being sent home with you.

Sandy is survived by her children, Angela (Clark) Jensen, Michael (Brittany) Anderson; her sister, Kay Star; and eight grandchildren, Krystle, Ryan, Amber, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Adam, Jacob, and Matthew.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Weston Anderson and her parents, Gift and Bertha Morton.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Sunrise of Sandy.Their love and tender care for our mother will not be forgotten. They truly became family to Sandy and all of us.

A memorial will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. The viewing will take place from 10:00-11:00 A.M.followed by a graveside service.
