Dorothy was born on October 23rd 1934 in South Wales, Great Britain, the son of Ivor Hopkins and Doris Badham Hopkins, preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and her loving husband Dr. Richard A. Seare married on May 29th 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Richard died on July 8th 1988.
Dorothy survived childhood polio and the bombings in England during WWII. She converted to the LDS Faith in South Wales and then moved to the United States in the late 50's. Served in many positions in the church from Sunday school teacher to Relief Society President several times. Had a degree in stenography, worked alongside her husband Richard for 24 years until his passing. Worked for Larkin Mortuary as a pre-need funeral planner for several years, and then worked as a dental radiology tech for 20 plus years until she retired at the young age of 81.
Survived by 3 children Steven R. Seare/(Cindy deceased 2003), Shaun M. Seare/Missy, Nathan J. Seare/ Toetu and 5 stepchildren, Richard A. Seare II/ Peggy, Claudia Hyatt/ Denny, Irene Seare Tauteoli , Joan Thornton/Rick, Susie Stevens/Kevin, 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
The Funeral Services for Dorothy G. Seare will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday March 3rd, 2018 with a viewing preceding from 1-1:45 PM at Larkin Sunset Lawn 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84108, (801) 582-1582. And a viewing on the evening of Friday March 2nd, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Larkin Sunset Lawn.
