David Joseph "Fletch" Fletcher passed away at home on the morning of July 8, 2020. Born in Southport, England on November 17, 1961 to George and Kathleen Fletcher; David was their third boy of four, followed by four sisters.
He completed A-Levels at Christ the King, where his favorite subject was Track and Field. David went on to John Moores University and enlisted in the Royal Air Force.

As a young man, David enjoyed messing about with his brothers and looking after his sisters.
In 1993, David married Rebecca Pierce and they became a family of four with his son Andrew, 30, and her daughter Andree, 30. Their family grew by adding daughters Laura, 26, Stephanie, 21, and Olivia, 20. In 2001, David and his family made the move to America, where he coined himself the SLC Brit. He continued in his chosen career of car sales, enjoying success for over 19 years.

In recent years David extended his family to include his partner Anita Johnson and her children, Kayla, 25, Jasmine, 20, and grandchild Grayson, 3. He loved spending his free time at home with his family, cats and dogs, barbecuing in his back garden, and snoozing on the couch. Known to his friends as "Fletch", he enjoyed playing and was proficient in snooker, darts, dominos, pool, and poker. David was a proud lifelong fan of both the Liverpool Football Club and the England National Team.

Survived by son Andrew Fletcher, grandchildren Isabela and Oliver; daughters, Andree, Laura, Stephanie and Olivia; father George Fletcher, brothers Paul (Julie) Fletcher and Brian (Tracy) Fletcher; sisters Carol (Tom) Nickeas, Tina (Stuart) Godfrey, Susan (Alec) Mackie, and Deirdre (James) Tattersall; as well as many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Where do I start….

Nearly two years have passed and it still fails me Dad. I can’t reason why you were taken so early, all I know is I miss you every single day.

Your grandkids are growing up, Oliver is 6 tomorrow and Bella nearly 8. They’re learning about you now dad, and how much you meant to me.

I hope I can make you proud, just as you’ve made me proud. I didn’t tell you that nearly as much as I should have, I just hope you knew how much I love you, always have and always will. Until next time old man xxxxx
