In Loving Memory of Tanya Renee (TR)
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Tanya Renee Dahl, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025. She was born on November 15, 1943, to Maxine and John Green in East Saint Louis, Illinois.
Tanya was a talented floral designer whose creativity blossomed most brightly during her years volunteering for the Festival of Trees. She later worked as a security agent at the Salt Lake City Airport, where she enjoyed connecting with travelers from all walks of life. She loved walking the temple grounds, curling up with her favorite magazines, and never tired of the timeless story of Gone With the Wind.
Tanya was preceded in death by her granddaughter Alisha, sister Pat, and her parents, Maxine and John. She is survived by her loving children Renee Mitchell (Dave), Lesley Carlson, Michele Carlson, Yvonne Cohen (John), and Michael Carlson (Jennifer); her cherished grandchildren Zachary Pope, Travis Pope, Annie Mitchell, Mia Carlson, Morgan Carlson, and Bristol Carlson; her devoted sisters Sandra Bernardo (Jimmy) and Linda Brown (Michael); and her adored fur grandbabies Charlie and Montana.
A private family graveside service will be held on October 10, 2025.
Her beautiful smile reflected her resilient spirit, and her kind heart was a gift she shared freely. We will forever cherish her laughter, her creativity, and the unconditional love she gave to us all.
