Terry Leon Brown

1962 ~ 2023

Terry was a special soul born perfect in this life and left this life perfect. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joann and Rodney Brown on August 2,1962. He was the youngest of his siblings, Roby, Jolyn, and Kim. Later Terry's mother married her second husband, Richard Thomas, with him came 6 more siblings, Rick, Larry, Peggy, Nancy, Robert, and Lillian.

Terry graduated from the Hartvigsen School earning his high school diploma. He spent his life exploring fun activities with various programs. He loved learning and spent several years continuing his education.

He was a dedicated lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and never went anywhere without his temple recommend in his wallet. He enjoyed working beside the facility maintenance crews cleaning the ward house and stake center. He joined the Boy Scouts of America earning almost every single merit badge and attending several national jamborees. He was extremely proud of earning his Eagle Scout. He was active every week with his SNAP group, loved going to Rise and being around all his friends. Terry was an athlete in the Special Olympics for years participating in both swimming and track and field. Terry loved to go bowling. He cheered on his Utah Jazz, and the Running Utes!

Terry loved everyone and everyone he interacted with immediately loved him back. He did not have a mean thought and he did not know how to say anything hurtful.

"Ter-Bear" is survived by his sister Jolyn (Jeff) McKee, Kim (Claire) Hutsell, other family members too numerous to count and so many friends and loved ones who will carry his memory forever.

Preceded in death by his parents Rodney, Joann, Richard, and his brother, Roby.

Terry left this world unexpectedly following an accident on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He was home with those who loved and cared for him. He is now in his eternal home in heaven having a dogpile with those who left before him.

I've known Terry since my son Jeff was in scouts. I admired Terry so much for his enthusiasm for scouting. He is a wonderful person that I enjoyed knowing. A special spirit sent by heavenly father.

Terry and I worked together for 18 years. Terry Brown was the most reliable and caring person I have the privilege to work with. I always tried to include Terry in all our luncheons. I have shed tons of tears.
