Terry Paul Deuel

1954 ~ 2023

On October 31, 2023 Jesus called Terry Paul Deuel to his heavenly home after a long, but strong battle with several health issues.
Terry was born June 16, 1954. He had the privilege of being raised by his loving grandparents, Francis and Ula (Bigelow) Deuel. Terry graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1972.

After completing a program at Hawkeye Institude of Technology he began working as a parts counter person for International Harvester Trucks in Waterloo. That led his career to Hawkeye International in Cedar Rapids. Iowa. He had the opportunity to move to Boise, Idaho. After seven years in Boise the company moved him to Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked his remaining years.

As a child Terry enjoyed spending time at his grandparents cabin where he could explore his surroundings, fish and ride his go cart.
On February 14, 1976 (Valentine's Day) Terry married Barb Wiese at Trinity Lutheran Church. They were happily married for 47 years. They were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Tarah and Dawn.

Terry was also blessed to be Godfather to two amazing Godchildren, Lindsay (Baethke) Kottmann and Jordan Stokes. Terry thought the world of you and loved you unconditionally.

Terry enjoyed traveling, especially cruises with family and friends. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and just being with friends.

Terry was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Iowa and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton, Utah.

Terry will be fondly remembered for his great smile, sense of humor, his big heart and bear hugs. He was a friend to everyone.
