Our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Thayne John Christensen, passed away unexpectedly, returning to our loving Heavenly Father and was greeted with open arms by his earthly father on March 16, 2023. He was born to Weldon and Sharon Christensen on October 25, 1982, in Murray, Utah. Thayne was the sixth child born into the family, making it an even three girls and three boys.

Thayne had a very special spirit and the kindest heart which he shared through hugs for everyone he encountered, even those he didn’t know. He enjoyed spending time with his family going fishing, camping, bowling, and swimming. He also loved taking trips out to fast food restaurants where he’d fill his cup up with every flavor there was at the soda fountain.

He is survived by his mother Sharon, sisters Carrie Deardurff, Vicki Carlson, and Shauna (Richard) Sisneros, brothers, Darren (Staci) Christensen and Nathan (Jacci) Christensen, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Weldon, niece Danielle Deardurff, two brothers-in-law Dan Deardurff and Victor Carlson. His family loved him dearly, and he will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Little Cottonwood 14th Ward, 1160 Vine Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Friday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 am prior to the services at the church. Interment Fayette, Utah.
