Theron (Butch) Passed away December 5th, 2023, In Salt Lake City Utah. He was born on June 13th, 1945, in Vallejo, California to Theron Sr and Mary Preston.

He Graduated from Skyline High School and loved living in Millcreek. He married Linda Kay Reynolds Herbert on December 8th, 1973. He worked at Hinckley’s Body shop painting automobiles and retired in 1990.

He Enjoyed Camping, Riding Motorcycles, and spending time with his Grandkids and Great grandkids. He loved classic cars, peppermint, butterscotch, striking up conversation and, shopping, joking around and his response to anyone who asked how he was doing – it was always “terrible”.

He is survived by his Wife of 50 years, Linda of Salt Lake City, His stepchildren – Stacy A. Buttars (Darin) of Meridian, Id and Kelly Kocinski of Nampa, Id. Siblings Tom Preston, Susan Alders, Patty, and Many Nieces and Nephews.

“Popi” loved his Grandchildren Devan, Brittney (Stephen), Jacoyia, of Salt Lake City, and Kellcy of California. He had 7 Great Grand Children, Kain, Jayde, Anthoni, Carter, little Jacoyia, Maximus and Mercy.

Butch was preceded in death by his Father Theron Sr, Mother Mary, and Stepdaughter Jodi. There will be a Viewing at 12:00pm on December 11th, 2023, at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah followed by a Graveside Funeral at 1:00PM.

I loved this dear friend of mine! There wasn't a time when he would come into
the office that when I asked him how he was doing, he didn't respond by saying
terrible. I knew things were good. He always would talk about his wife and children.
He loved all of you very much. I send my heartfelt condolences.
