On September 28, 2024, at around 11 a.m. pacific, Thomas Dalton Roberts tragically passed away at the age of 38. After being stung four times while attempting to remove a wasp nest, despite efforts, he did not survive.

Thomas grew up in a close-knit family, alongside his siblings Adam Roberts, Miranda Roberts, and Guy Roberts. As children, they shared a bond as tight as a wolf pack, often howling at the moon together—a cherished memory they all hold dear. His extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins delighted in and adored his joyful exuberance, and are honored to know him.

The loss of Thomas leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him; he was Gonzo, he was Troll, he was a Roberts! He will be deeply missed, not only by his “pack,” especially his loving mother, Laura Jean Roberts, but also by countless friends and relatives. His presence, full of life and love, resonated with those who knew him, and his spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched.

Thomas came into this world laughing. At 6 weeks old he would smile and giggle at strangers, an unusual thing for a baby at that stage. He was fearless at 4 yo, running away to hide in the displays, giggling as his family searched for him.

In school he was adored for being happy, hyper and smiling; sometimes it was a challenge, but he was a rare soul.

Welcomed and wanted, he made friends for life in unexpected places, and would help everyone he could, as much as he could!

That day, he was tired, and he took a walk, and he went home. We look forward to the reunion when we can be with him again.

A celebration of Thomas's life will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at Larkin Mortuary - Riverton; 3688 W 12600 S, Riverton, UT 84065; (801) 254-4850

A viewing will begin at 12:30pm with a family prayer (those that would like to participate are welcome) at 1:45.

Services will at 2pm.

Thank you to all those who have helped with photos, music, and technical support. We appreciate it more than we can say.

Guestbook/Condolences

I am beyond sad for those left behind.
I'm certain he's still having fun and making others laugh (or scream) wherever you go after life.
He'll never be truly gone, though, with so many who fondly remember him. Hugs and loves to all.

- Misty

I'll always remember how Thomas was so willing to play with my boy when he was young. He was always happy. I will remember that feeling of toughness but yet caring that was Thomas. He did want to joke and live life. I'm so glad I got to spend part of it with him. Go find Micheal, Thomas and say hi for me.

When I found out Thomas had passed, I was in shock. I couldn't believe it! The world feels more empty knowing that he is no longer physically with us. His quirks and pazaz made him a light in the darkness. To the Roberts family my thoughts and prayers are with you, I had the pleasure of getting to know Thomas and Guy through school and I'm grateful every day that I had the opportunity to get to know them both. Thomas, thank you for touching our lives your energy will continue to live on through your family and our memories

I’m so sorry for your loss. I wasn’t at Rocky for long but gonzo has always been in my favorite memories. He is one of the actors I always talked about when reminiscing. May his soul rest in peace.

It's been awhile, I'm still trying to wrap my head around a world with you not in it. My heartburn is up, my energy is down, my grief is hitting in inscrutable and pernicious ways! Wish you were here brother.
