1958 ~ 2023

Thomas Ken Lund
August 25,1958 – July 8, 2023

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our amazing brother Thomas Ken Lund, or as most of his close friends and family called him, Tom. He passed away peacefully at the age of 64 years old on July 8, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. We take comfort knowing he is finally back with our dad and mom.

Born August 25, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kenneth Warren Lund and JoAnn Lund. He was born and raised in Murray City. During high school he enrolled in the U.S. Army with one of his best friends Mark Howick. Tom had many talents and could fix anything needing mechanical work, HVAC Tech and was a truck driver for many years.

Tom was a very kind, thoughtful and loving man. Tom had many passions in life. He loved cooking, traveling, fishing, boating, camping, and going to Wendover.

Tom leaves behind a heartbroken family – his son Timmie, his siblings Bruce (Rhonda), Brenda and Janice. Numerous nieces and nephews who he enjoyed spending time with and all his fur babies.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother-in-law Shaun, niece Brooklyn, and various other relatives.

Please join us in remembering and honoring Tom’s life at Larkin Sunset Gardens on 10600 S. 1960 E. Sandy on July 15th for a viewing from 1pm- 2pm with a graveside service to follow.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff at the IMC Shock Trauma Intensive Care unit for the support and compassion they provided during the last couple days of his life. We would like to thank everyone for their kindness and sympathy during our time of loss. It gives us much comfort to know that you are thinking of us as we grieve our brother’s death.

Of all the precious gifts in life, however great or small – To have you as our brother was one of the greatest gifts of all. Our lives will never be the same – our brightest light has gone out. He will be so desperately missed by so many, leaving a void that will never be filled. We know his beautiful soul is all around us, taking care of us from the other side now.

Forever on our minds, always in our heart! Your life was a blessing, your memories will never depart! We all miss and love you! Until we meet again

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. His life was too short. He will truly be missed, he was kind-hearted and always willing to help others, and had compassion for others. My prayers go out to all the family during this difficult time in your lives. I pray that each of you will be strong and comfort each other and stay close to each other to help get you all through this time.

We need to remember that life is too short, you just never know the day or hour so hug your family a little more and tell them that you love them any moment you get.

I love you all!

Tom was a very kindhearted man, he always made time to come and visit my dad, Mark usually once or twice a month and when my dad was sick he would try to get him outside. They were definitely best friends, went through a lot together. I will miss Tom deeply, I know now he is with so many angels now, and I hope with my dad too. I am very sorry for your loss. I can still see him holding his camera and showing off all his pictures. ❤️❤️❤️
