  • “In a good life, full of love, death will always arrive too soon.”

TIghe was born on July 28, 1979 in Murray Utah. His parents Ron and Janice raised him and his sister Charice in Salt Lake City. While Tighe’s time on earth was shorter than anyone would have ever wanted, In his life, Tighe learned a lot about the importance of having a positive outlook in any situation.

From the earliest of his childhood Tighe always had an infectious smile. He was someone you wanted to have a conversation with. Tighe embodied kindness and cared deeply about others. Everyone one of us faces challenges in life and Tighe was no exception to that fact, but it was his unique experience in facing life’s challenges head on that led him to be such a compassionate person and gave him his unique ability to make others feel better about their own situation.

Tighe had many different roles and was known to all of us in different ways. Foremost, he was a loving husband to Yael, A proud dad to his daughter Charly and his son Karsten, and bonus dad to Kris, Kayden, Kaleb and Kenley. Tighe loved spending time with Yael and their favorite vacation spot was Mexico. There was nothing better to Tighe than getting to spend one on one time with Yael on vacation.

Spending time with his kids was also very important to Tighe and they loved spending time with him as well. Tighe always liked to have fun. He loved snowmobiling, playing on softball leagues, boating and anything motorsports and baseball.

He was also an incredibly hard worker, something he no doubt inherited from his parents. As a business owner, he cared deeply for his employees and their families and wanted nothing but the best for them. It was also extremely important for Tighe to carry on the legacy that Ron started so many years ago with Ron Johnson Masonry. He worked hard to honor the business his dad built for so many years.
Although Tighe was a successful person by society’s definition, his true worth was in his relationships with others. It was rare not to see Tighe without a smile on his face. He was a friend to those who he had known for years, and he was a friend to complete strangers alike.

And while Tighe is gone from this life now, every one of us carries a piece of him with us. Tighe knew and understood what was most important in life. If you wonder what you can do to honor Tighe’s legacy? Let's start out by being the kind of person he was. Let's be kinder, gentler. Let's be the type of son, friend, brother, father and husband that Tighe would want us to be.

    When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes,
    filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry,
    the way you did today,
Wile thinking of the many things,
    we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you,
And each time you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.
    When tomorrow starts without me
    Don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I’m right there in your heart.
