Tim Michael King passed surrounded by children and loved ones on October 10, 2023. He was born to Bruce and Patricia King on August 24, 1966, in West Valley City Utah where he lived his entire life.

Tim worked at Century Link for 30 years and loved his job. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, and bowling. He was most proud of bowling a 299. He took his children to the bowling alley every Wednesday and would offer the craziest prizes if they were able to beat him in a game. They never did, Tim was too good. He went on a ski trip with his best friend Vince every year and it was something he always looked forward to.

He was a lifelong Jazz and Vikings fan. He loved watching games with his boys. (If you know anything about the Vikings or the Jazz, the boys were usually disappointed). He loved puzzles and even wrote out the equation to solve a Rubik’s Cube. He was a master chess player who never lost a game.

Tim loved spending time with family and friends. Every weekend he would visit his parents for a morning cup of coffee. Anyone who knows Tim knows he loved a good debate. Regardless of the topic, if Tim had an opinion there was no changing his mind.

Tim is survived by his parents Pat and Bruce, his children Hayden, Bruce (Alyssa), and Felicia (Nic), his grandchildren Zeek, Kreed, Bexley, and Sophia and his siblings Bruce (Chris), Brett (Lori), and Ted (Venus). The family would like to thank the staff at Jordan Valley Hospital intensive care unit for their wonderful care and support.

Dear King Family,
I was so saddened to learn of Tim's passing from Chris. I worked with Tim. I always admired how he took his responsibility as a single dad. It's not easy to raise children even with a partner, much harder on your own. He loved his children as he spoke of them with such pride. It's been some time since I've seen Tim, but with my connection to Chris I've been able to ask about and get updates on Tim and even Pat.
I send my sincere condolences,
Lennie Dennis

Tim will truly be missed. Every time I was with him I would laugh. He had a way of getting my “funnybone” every time. Whether it was a family barbecue, or just a friendly meeting, Tim was always a sweetheart. He beamed with pride when I would tell him what a wonderful father Bruce is. It sure made him proud. Not a day will go by that he will not be missed by family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Tim for 20 years and did some mentoring with him on his jpb. I was his tech support. He was very knowledgeable and eager to help techs whenever he could. He was a joy to talk and work with. I will miss him as we kept in touch after i retired.😪

He knew so much and we’d bounce things off of each other. He was such a great guy. He loved his family so much. Condolences to them at this time. Rest in Peace my friend.
