Timothy Noble Waller

Tim was born on November 5, 1936 to Jesse Lawrence Waller and Erla Hughes Waller in Laredo, Texas. He passed away on November 4 , 2025 just one day short of his 89th birthday.

After graduating High School, Tim joined the U. S. Navy where he served two years in Argentia, Newfoundland as an air traffic controller. After the Navy, he returned to Laredo where he worked for a time with Trans Texas Airlines before joining the United States Border Patrol on April 16, 1962. Tim worked as a Patrol Inspector / Patrol Agent in Texas until coming to Salt Lake City in December 1975 as a Criminal Investigator with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service. He retired on November 30, 1993 as an Immigration Special Agent in Salt Lake City.

Tim married Karen Springer on August 10, 1962 and together they had two sons, Kevin James and Keith Lawrence. He and Karen later divorced, but remained friends until her passing in 2012.

Tim married Vicky Lynn Stirland on December 23, 1995. Together they had 42 wonderful years together. They traveled throughout the US in Motorhomes after Vicky retired. Tim was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Retired Border Patrol Officers, where he established and acted as their first Web Master for many years. In his full lifetime,

Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, travel and RVing, and he was always an avid DIY'er. His sons and grandchildren were always his pride and joy.

Tim is survived by his wife Vicky, Sons Kevin (Camille) and Keith. Four grandsons, Alex (Amber), Doug (Jessica) and the twins Jacob and Tyler, and eight great grandchildren.

He is preceded in his passing by his parents, sister Doris Clayton, brother J. L. Waller and granddaughter Shelby.

Graveside services for Tim will be held at 11:00 am on Monday November 10, 2025 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E 10600 S in Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior beginning at 10:00 am. Services will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah.
