Carol Musser Sharp Ediger

1945 ~ 2017

Carol Musser Sharp Ediger returned peacefully to her heavenly home on July 24, 2017 at her home in South Jordan, Utah. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 11, 1945 to Dr. Heber Cannon and Mary Musser Sharp. She was their third daughter and the fifth of seven children. Carol grew up in Logan, Utah, and attended Whittier Elementary, Logan Junior High and Logan High. She attended Utah State University and graduated in Elementary Education. She taught in the public schools for 30 years, with the majority in the Emery County School District. Carol always loved teaching and had a rare gift for reaching her students, no matter the setting.

She was a lifelong active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had the opportunity to serve in many callings throughout her life, including temple work, Ward Relief Society President, counselor in the Stake Relief Society Presidency, twice as Ward Primary President, and several other teaching capacities. Carol also served as Ward organist and Relief Society pianist for many years.

Her favorite activities included watching her grandchildren perform in various activities and serving in the temple. Family was always a top priority for Carol. She cared deeply for the happiness of her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Family reunions were some of her favorite times. She especially loved time spent with her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Alison, son Kevin, daughter-in-law Jill, and her five grandchildren: Kelsee, Garrett, Ashlee, Hallee, and Gavin. She is also survived by her brother Edward (Carol) Sharp, her sister Kathryn Sharp Wulfenstein, her brother Dr. Laurence (Marilyn) Sharp, and her brother Allan (Vickie) Sharp. Preceded in death by her parents and her brother Heber Musser Sharp and sister Dr. Marianne Sharp Long.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 12 noon at the Oquirrh Lake 9th Ward (4484 Willoughby Dr. South Jordan, UT 84095). Viewings will be held on Thursday, July 27 from 6-8 pm at Larkin Mortuary Riverton (3688 W. 12600 S. Riverton, UT 84065) and at 10:30 am prior to the funeral at the ward. Interment at Logan City Cemetery.
