Todd Matthew Deemer

1964 ~ 2022

Our beloved husband and father, Todd Matthew Deemer, passed away on March 12, 2022, after a valiant 5-month fight due to complications resulting from brain surgery to remove a brain tumor.

Todd enjoyed skiing, biking, hiking and fly fishing. He raced in the World Pro Mogul Tour from 1989 to 1993.

Todd owned and operated Yeti Construction since 1998. He worked in Moscow, Russia from 1995 to 1996 framing and teaching wood framing.
Todd was born in Portland, Maine, on April 21, 1964. He moved to Utah in November 1988 after a ski vacation to Alta Ski Resort the previous season. He met Julie Huber at Alta and they married in 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Julie and two children, Ahna and Noah Deemer; his parents Timothy Deemer and Lancey Taylor and brothers Tim Deemer and Garrett Taylor.

Todd was known for always helping others and his generosity. He will be greatly missed and forever adored.

My condolences to the Deemer Family . I have only been associated with Todd for around three years as we worked together in the building industry. In my 38 years of experience working with framers . I am very proud to say that Todd was one of the best in his trade . He was honest , efficient and trustworthy. As we got to know each other in those three years , I learned that Todd was also a great family man and he loved his family dearly. May the good Lord above bless all of you at this difficult time. I know that I have truly been blessed to know Todd Deemer .

Todd has been a good friend for many years. I have always loved Todd's outlook on life and his drive to be great at so many things. He could always make me laugh and put a smile on my face. Todd was an amazing framer, I loved watching him mentor his employee's and mine as well, he taught so many and will never be able to replaced. We will miss you Todd. Rest in Peace my friend

Hard to express in how many ways Todd will be missed, we always said he was more our “nephew” then Julie was our niece. From back packing trips, building the addition at the dome with his crew over a thanksgiving weekend, the amazing cat skiing trip to so many dinners shared that either he or Chick cooked,
A friend and family member that left this world way too soon we love you and will always miss your presence in our lives but you will never be forgotten.

Julie and your two sweet kids. My heart is broken of the news of Todd's passing. You guys were such great neighbors with many great memories. Soon after I bought my business I did some minor remodeling. Out of the blue one day, Todd just showed up to help. Not sure how he knew but he did. I know in my heart he will always be right beside your family. Now he and Meeka can hang out together. With my deepest condolences and love, I wish you well. Until we meet again my friend, rest easy.

Sending love to all who are forced to bear the unbearable. Todd was a sweet and funny little guy when he lived with us on the farm. He grew up to be a sweet and funny big guy and an adventurous and talented man. He will be missed by so many. Many hugs to all of you.

I am so very sorry for the loss of a wonderful neighbor and send my deepest sympathy to Julie, Anna, and Noah. I never imagined my last conversation with Todd would in fact be my last, for now. What a wonderful example and legacy he has left for his loved ones.

I am SO SORRY to hear this terrible news. Todd was a sweetheart and a great housemate back in the 90s. I haven't seen him in decades, but had so much fun during that time with him and many of our friends skiing, camping, hiking, mountain biking and just hanging out. I'm sorry to tell you Todd that I never got the hang of those big moguls despite your encouragement.... You will be missed by so many. May the Deemer family find peace. I'm so sorry.

It’s been almost 30 years since Todd taught me how to swing a hammer in Moscow. He was always tough, but fair and full of good humor. I think of those days often and wish we had reconnected more since then, but those wild days and big smile will be a lasting memory. Big hug to the Deemer family.
