Todd Snow Richardson, 64, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away on January 5, 2024, in his home with his loving wife by his side.

Born on September 8, 1959, Todd was a beloved son of William and Marilyn Richardson. He grew up in Salt Lake City and had a wonderful childhood filled with adventure, mischief and an exceptional group of friends. He served in the South Buenos Aires Argentina Mission and fell in love with the culture, language and people.

Todd was also a brilliant student and he knew early on he wanted to be an attorney. He achieved this goal promptly after returning home from his mission, completing his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget Sound by the age of 25. He was incredibly passionate about his career in law, starting his own law firm where he practiced until June of 1998.

In 1980, Todd met the love of his life, Rosalyn Teerlink, and together they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage. They have five wonderful children and four (soon to be five) wonderful grandchildren. They built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a devoted parent and grandparent, he always put his family first. He taught perseverance, kindness and many, many dad jokes.

Todd was a person of many interests and talents. He loved music, singing and local community theater, often taking lead roles in local productions. He absolutely loved the outdoors, especially recreational sports such as snow skiing, water skiing, fishing and hunting. He was also a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

His life took a dramatic turn after he sustained a near fatal brain injury in his late thirties. Despite his injury leaving him with permanent disability, he became known for his positive attitude and graciousness.

Todd is survived by his mother Marilyn; his wife Rosalyn; his children Tera, Amy, Jill, T.J. and Wade; his grandchildren; and his siblings Sharmon, Neil and Carol. He was preceded in death by his father William.

A celebration of Todd's life will be held on January 9, 2024, at 1930 S 2100 E, Salt Lake City, from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on January 10, 2024, at 1930 S 2100 E, Salt Lake City at 11 AM. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and honoring his legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Neighborhood House (https://nhutah.org/donate) in memory of Todd Snow Richardson.

Rosalyn and family, I am so sorry to hear of Todd’s passing. Todd was a good friend in high school, and the best debate partner I could have ever asked for. He was a favorite of Maj Sylvester, and I was fortunate to ride his coat tails. He was always kind, considerate, brilliant and fun.
I’ve so admired the loving relationship you’ve shared these 42 years. Your devotion to one another is a beautiful example for all of us to follow.
May your many wonderful memories sustain you at this sad time.
Love,
Heidi

I was saddened to hear of Todd's passing and wish to send my deepest condolences to Rosalyn and family. I was fortunate to have Todd as my friend in junior high and high school and well after our missions. I remember going to the ranch in Heber, playing tennis, working a summer together at Irving Junior High School, double dating, and enjoying conversations (sometimes heated) about everything. I was blessed with Todd's friendship at an important time of my life. His influence on me was for good, and I will be forever grateful.

Rosalyn,

I was so sorry to hear about Todd's passing. I have let my dad and family know and he will be watching on zoom tomorrow. I have fond memories of pheasant hunting with Bill and Todd as well as riding horses up in Midway. May you feel comforted and blessed knowing you loved and served Todd faithfully and he loved you.

Dear Ros, What a beautiful funeral service! Each one who spoke taught, and inspired us as they shared examples from Todd's life and of his faith. We know that this is hard, and he will be missed, but oh what a legacy he has left for all of us. We love this picture of the two of you in front of the temple on your wedding day. There is such hope in your eyes of a glorious future together. Because of our Savior and our covenants we testify that you will be together again and that hope continues to shine. We love you, Wendy and Toney Bentley
