On March 27th 2018, beloved husband and father Dennis Robert Lopez, lost his battle with cancer. He will be remembered for his love of family and of his country, a 23 year veteran of the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge from his Naval Duties, Dennis found a new life completely devoted around his loving wife, his two beautiful daughters, Amber and Adriana, and his most special granddaughter, Maddison.
As a wonderful father and leader, Dennis spent the rest of his life volunteering at Hillcrest High, where he found joy and focus with long hours spent on the football field with the Husky team, and at the edge of the water watching Adriana and the Husky swim team giving it their all.
Soon after walking his daughter, Amber, down the aisle for her wedding, Dennis was diagnosed with lung cancer. He fought as long as he could, using a strength hard earned by military fortitude and the love he had for his family. Finally, after months of hardship and effort, Dennis was taken too soon from those he loves.
Dennis's memory will live strong as he waits to see his family again. Those he loves stand as testament to him and his beliefs.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Donetta Lopez; his daughters, Adriana Lopez and Amber Lopez Stagg (Jeffrey); his granddaughter, Maddison Stagg; his grandson, Derick Stagg; his mother Mable Wolfgramm; his sisters, Pat Quinn (James), Linda Ramirez, Leilani Wolfgramm and his brother Andrew Lopez; as well as his nieces, Isabella, Charmion, Lynzee Andrea and Celeste. He is predeceased in death by his step-father Tui Wolfgramm.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), where friends and family may visit one hour prior to services.
