Riverton- Paula Sue Vigos, 50, of Riverton, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born May 9, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Paul Wiechman and Gail Beckstead Wiechman. Paula was raised in Sandy and graduated from Alta High School. On April 12, 1985, she married her high school sweetheart, Bryan Vigos. They made their home in Riverton, where they raised one daughter, Melissa. Most of Paula's working years were spent as an office manager with the Utah Department of Corrections. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, going to the sand dunes, cooking, camping, fishing (she always caught the most and biggest fish), and just being outdoors. Mostly she loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and spending time with family and friends. Paula will be remembered as always being friendly and kind and she will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.
Paula is survived by her husband and sweetheart of more than 32 years, Bryan; their daughter, Melissa (James) Woolley; her grandson, Camden; her mother, Gail Smart; three brothers, Mark (Chris) Wiechman, Brent (Valerie) Wiechman and Eric Wiechman. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father.
A Celebration of Paula's life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday May 16, 2017, at The Chateau, 1910 East Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 South) Sandy, Utah.
