Mildred Phoebe Western Meppen, 95, passed away peacefully at her home on May 21, 2017. She was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Myron Leslie Western and Medora Adelia Black. Mildred was raised in Pocatello, Idaho and spent over three decades teaching school. She is survived by six children: Larry, Carol, Brian, Julie, Michelle and Leslie; 47 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday May 25, 2017, at Larkin Mortuary Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah, with Bishop Mark Tarr officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m., in the Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S 5th Ave, Pocatello, ID.
