Ulla-Britt Fröberg Morris, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was called home from her earthly mission December 18, 2022.
Ulla-Britt was born in Sollefteå, Sweden, to a loving family who taught her strong values such as integrity, loyalty, and charity. She first heard about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as a child and converted as a young adult. She served as a missionary in Sweden from 1956-1957, and immigrated to the United States in 1959.

In 1961, she married her eternal sweetheart, James Dell Morris (J. Dell) in the Salt Lake Temple. They had five wonderful children who have blessed them with 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Ulla-Britt deeply loved her family on both sides of the ocean. She sincerely missed her family in Sweden but kept her relationships strong through phone calls and letters. She loved it when family from Sweden visited her. She also treasured being a grandmother and adored her grandchildren. There was a sparkle in her eyes when they spent time together. Ulla-Britt’s first priority was always to serve the Lord and her family.

When Ulla-Britt was 19 she moved to Östersund to work as a photojournalist for Lingsell’s Foto. She loved the beauty and magic of photography. After immigrating to the United States, she got a job as a records examiner for the Genealogical Society of Utah. She worked there until becoming a mother, and then did client work. She was employed part time at the Family History Library for 15 years and continued serving as a missionary for another 10 years. She was deeply committed to family history research and doing temple work for her ancestors throughout her life. As a faithful Latter-day Saint she served in many callings in the Swedish Branch and her home ward. One of her favorites was Swedish translation for 25 General Conferences. She also served a mission in the Stockholm Sweden temple with her husband J. Dell.

She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her four children Bryan (Nikki), Lloyd (Vanessa), Geoff (Donna), and Janicka (Laman). She is preceded in death by her dear husband James Dell, son John, and grandson Dexter.

A viewing will be held, Monday, December 26th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary at 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City. Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, December 27th, at the Grandview 1st Ward Chapel, 2930 S 2000 East, Salt Lake City at 11:00 am with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Guestbook/Condolences

Ulla-Britt has always been such a kind and loving person. I have fond memories of both her and J. Dell from the Swedish Branch. Two stalwart saints, just good thru and thru. She will be missed, but I can just imagine the reception she received on the other side! Our hearts and prayers go out to the entire family.
