Calvin Labrum Hoskins

1952 ~ 2016

Calvin Labrum Hoskins, age 63, passed away after a short illness, November 9, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Cal was born in Salt Lake City on October 29, 1952 to John Rex Hoskins and Evelyn Labrum.

He was the second of three children, raised in Murray, Utah where he learned the value of hard work at the early age of 8, running his own paper route on his bike. He loved being outside, riding motorcycles, deer hunting with his dad at Gooseberry, fishing at Strawberry, family holidays at Trial Lake making life-long friends. He graduated from Granite High School and joined the Air National Guard. He continued to work hard joining Rio Tinto Kennecott and running a brick laying business on the side. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially the babies, he took pride in his yard, and shoveling the neighbors walks. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married his sweetheart Sharon Williams on May 8, 1993 and they have one daughter Tayci Rae Hoskins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Brian Hoskins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Midvalley Stake Center, 1106 East 8050 South, Sandy, Utah with a viewing 1 hour prior to services. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 6-7:30 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah.
