Doreen May Linnett was born to Elsie May Bradley and Clarence Gordon Linnett in Exhall, Warwickshire, England. She and her parents came to Utah after WWII to be sealed as a family for eternity. She married her best friend and forever sweetheart, Jay Delano Archibald, on October 16, 1952 in the Salt Lake City Temple, and were blessed with three boys. Doreen served in the primary organization for most of her life. She held callings ranging from a teacher to the Stake Primary President. She also served in the Jordan River Temple alongside her husband. Doreen was a talented cook and seamstress, but she was a gifted knitter; a talent she had developed since she was 3. Doreen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Steven), two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her sons Jay (Mary) and Cary (Jennifer), five grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Granite View Stake Center, 9880 South 3100 East. Visitations will be held on Wednesday October 18th from 6:00 ‚ 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) and on Thursday October 19th from 10:00 ‚ 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will take place at the Granite Cemetery in Sandy, Utah.
