9/7/1935 ‚ 10/12/2014

Pamela was born September 7, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to S.R. (Andy) and Emma LaVon (Bonnie) Facer Anderson. It was a home filled with love and happy memories.

As a young child, Pam gained an appreciation of the performing arts by presenting readings throughout the Salt Lake area and participating on KSL radio broadcast. As a young adult her eye turned to the visual arts. She reaped a lifetime of enjoyment in and affiliation with both the visual and performing arts. Pam was dedicated to serving her community and charitable organizations and boards. Pam attended Ensign Elementary, Bryant Junior High and East high Schools. She attended the University of Utah and served as Vice President of its Alumni Association. Through family membership she enjoyed affiliation with the Salt Lake Country Club, Alta Club and Cottonwood Club. She was honored to serve as a President of Town Club.

On June 23, 1956 Pam married Howard G. McQuarrie. Their life together was an adventure filled with joy, tempered by sorrows and strengthened through the years.

Treasured friendships brought shared participation in Pi Beta Phi, Junior League of Salt Lake City, Five Fools, Owl and Fork, WIGS, The Bloods, OAF's, Spitefuls, Nasties, Killer Bridge, PPBB's, Backstitch, Only in Utah, Cottonwood Molls, Book Club. She loved sports and hated to lose!

Pam welcomed any challenge and delighted in "start-up", organization and problem solving. She has a great love of the pride in the State of Utah. Her zest for world travel introduced her to the value and appreciation of many cultures and the unending beauty of this planet. Traveling throughout the United States cemented her patriotic spirit.

It was the warmth, loyalty and comfort of family that gave her the greatest joy. She is survived by her best friend and husband, "Howie", four perfect sons and their wonderful wives and "Nana's" amazing grandchildren: Craig and Polly and their daughters Madeline (Erich Scholz) and Carly (Sheldon Goodwin); Michael and Diana; Matthew and Andreja and their son, Tilen and daughter, Nina; Andrew and Lisa and their daughters, Olivia and Sabrina and son, Maximus. Preceded in death by her adored parents and remarkable grandson Kyle (son of Michael), sister Patricia Gurr.
