Sidney Walton Coulston

1925 ~ 2014

Sidney passed away peacefully on October 20, 2014. He was born in Bozeman, Montana on September 1, 1925 to Sidney E. and Flora Horner Coulston. His mother passed away when he was 8 years old and he was raised by his father and stepmother Effie Walker Coulston.

He married his true love, Phyllis Cook, on August 8, 1955. Together they had four children Sherry (Tim) Miller, Karen (Calvin) Gregory, John (Cheryl) Coulston and Mark (Lynette) Coulston. He has fourteen grandchildren Kimberly, Tina, Tracy, Cindy, Jaime, Timmy, Danny, J.J., Josh, Mitchell, Tyler, Sean and Brandon. He also has 22 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Angie Darlene Carlson.

He served in the Navy during WWII and received numerous medals for his service. He retired from Fort Douglas as a small arms repairman for the military. He loved the great outdoors, camping, fishing, rock hounding and spending time with his family.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
