Yue Mei Chen passed away April 3, 2016 after a very full life and very well lived.
She was born December 17, 1915 in Taishan, Guandong, China and immigrated to the United States in May of 1981. She was strong-willed, independent, and had so much love for her family. Her pride and joy was helping to raise her grandchildren. She was so generous to all those around her. The smile she always carried was contagious. Yue enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening.
Survived by her four children Kam Hua Fong (Wai Yip), Ying Dun Chan (Sing You), Pui Kuen Fong (You Cheng Yu), Pei Shao Kuang (Chun Hop Lui). Her son-in-law Guo Ding Yu. She also has 11 grandchildren: Nancy Fong, Raymond Yu (Wendy Chen), Wei Xian Yu (Jing Jing Wu), Judy Chan, Amy Wilson (Lloyd), Sally Yu, Helen Yu, Shawna Louie (Brad), Sonny Lui, Sandy Lui, and Sean Lui. She also has 6 great grandchildren: Kevin, Jayvin, Jenny, Mandy, Genevieve, and Cohen. Preceded in death by Siu Fok Fong, Jerry Phe Chan, and Pei Zhen Kuang.
Services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E South Temple, in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 12:00 PM. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
