Odette Andree Gregorcy

1924 ~ 2017

Odette Andree Gregorcy, 92, died on January 5, 2017, in South Jordan, Utah. She was born in Paris, France, on December 12, 1924 to Edmond and Marie Epergue. She married Robert Gregorcy in Paris in May of 1946, and immediately moved to the United States where she later became a U.S. citizen.

Odette was a grammar and high school teacher for the Rockford, Illinois Catholic Diocese for numerous years where she taught numerous subjects, including Mathematics,French, and Religion. She retired and moved to Utah with her husband in 1998. Her husband died in 2000, but Odette continued to reside in the Sandy, Utah area.

Odette was a wonderful cook, enjoyed perusing her catalogues, worked on puzzles, and cared for her many pets, including her two cats, Cinder and Ember. She especially enjoyed her 6 grandchildren, and loved to see her 3 great granddaughters.

She is survived by her two children: Edmay Pritz (Michael) and Glenn Gregorcy (Francine); her 6 grandchildren: Edmond Pritz (California); Benjamin Pritz (California); Brian Gregorcy (and Heather Thuet - Salt Lake City, UT); Amy Bezzant (and Brandon - Riverton,UT); Alex Gregorcy (Murray,UT) and Elizabeth Gregorcy (Murray, UT); 3 great granddaughters- Bailey, Avery, and Tyler.

Interment will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11:00am at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in SLC,UT. Donations to St. Jude\s Childrens\ Hospital in Odette\s name can be made in lieu of flowers.
