Elmore Ivan Collard passed away peacefully on August 7, 2013 in Sandy, Utah. Elmore was born in Fairplay, CO on July 19, 1934 to Fred Richard and Norene Clare Collard. Elmore married the love of his life Connie Mae Garbini in the Salt Lake Temple and together shared 44 wonderful years of marriage. Elmore was a talented artist which was shown through his love of woodworking. Elmore was a faithful member of the LDS church and was actively engaged with the Deaf community of Salt Lake. He had a love for all animals, especially his dog Dixie.
Elmore is survived by his wife, Connie, sons, Arthur Collard and Alonzo (Angelina) Collard, sister, Twila Van Ess, grandchildren, Daniel, Celecia, Chase, and Brooklyn, and a great-grandchild, Brealin Rae.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1950 East 10600 South Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
